We are committed to working as a team to provide quality care. We want everyday to be filled with excitement and adventure. We hope our home will be your little one's home away from home...No worries, just love and learning.

It is with great pleasure that I get to work with these young learners while mommies and daddies go off to work each day. From the moment that I started my career in education, I knew it was the right place for me. And it has become so much a part of me that I cannot separate myself from it. I truly believe that if I couldn't get paid to teach, I would still teach. Therefore, I guess it is safe to say that I have found the thing I love.

I entered the field of Education in a round-about kind of way. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2001. From there, I immediately began work as a Child Protective Services investigator. It did not take me long to figure out that casework was not for me. As an attempt to just find something else to do for income, I enrolled in a teacher certification program through Tarleton State University. And to my surprise, I felt an instant connection from the very first course. I was eager to learn more and to do more to make a difference. I completed my teaching certificate and went on to obtain a Masters in Educational Administration. From there, I taught Kindergarten through 4th grade before starting Kinder Prep Academy.

I've been in education a long time loving almost (Lol!) every minute of it. Now I dare to take the sum of all my experiences and pour them into my Kinder Prep families!

Katrina Ashford

Mr. Ashford began his career as an Education major at Baylor University. After earning his Bachelor's degree, he immediately started working as a middle school Math teacher. Eventually, he discovered a new interest in the area of Science and worked with students and teachers for 15 years.

Mr. Ashford also holds an advanced degree is Education Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. One interesting fact about Mr. Ashford is that he comes from a family of educators as two of his three siblings are teachers. The other sibling supervises and trains nurses, so I guess he's kind of an educator, too. If there is ever a question about best practices in any subject area, we have plenty of people to call.
